Melody's Virtual Notebook

This is my Virtual Notebook for HTML 101.
Should I make my web page solely for Dempster Grove Campmeeting?. Or make it for all of my interests?

For instance, to break it down into:
Family, Campmeeting, Photography, Travel, etc.

Or perhaps for each to have their own site, and the main site to have links to them?

This is to demonstrate centering

LESSON 1

I set up the template for HTML, and used it for this Virtual notebook.

I started learning about tags and using them for this page.

LESSON 2

I created and used an HTML template, then I saved it as HTML.

I discovered a third type of list that uses neither bullets or numbers. You can even use your own graphics instead of bullets. The tags are DL, DT and DD.

I opened my account with one of the free hosts, and uploaded my file.

LESSON 3

Flag

One of the most important things I have learned is about copyright, and when it is inappropriate to use web material indiscriminately.

I have learned about shrinking large images into thumbnail size to use on my web pages. This will take much less time for viewers to download, and less impatience.

The section on making images clickable sounds really cool- gotta try that.

ON TO LESSON 4

Here are a few of the online resources I've used:
A Color Reference
An HTML Primer
Tool to re-size images
And I have also used a book "HTML: A beginner's Guide" by Wendy Willard.
